An old update

Here I am at 34 weeks, this was taken about 2 weeks ago. I'm about 36 weeks now, getting closer and closer to the due date!!!! Everything is on track, baby is measuring as he is suppose to be, i'm gaining as i should be, and he is moving around a lot now. I can see the movements in my tummy now too. It has been getting really uncomfortable to sleep, walk, and move really. Even breathing is getting hard, but nothing is too unbearable just yet. Just getting really excited for the arrival.

Christmas

This Christmas we spent in Idaho. I really missed my family!!!! Last year my parents came up to spend it with us and it was one of my best, I loved having them all to myself. This year, with the baby on the way in January, they decided to spend it in Hawaii and see me in January. The countdown begins. But it was still a nice Christmas here with the Molifua's. To start us off on the holiday season, Kira and Rick set up a caroling gig for the family at a retirement home. The Molifua's go caroling every year, and instead of going house to house, we decided to go to a retirement home. I'm so glad we did because it was freezing outside. Next we had our sister in law gift exchange party. It was so nice to get together with the girls, and eat some yummy food. Lanayia planned it this year, and she made an awesome salad, she said it was like a salad from cafe rio. But whatever it was, my mouth has been watering for it ever since. At the exchange we all bring about 3 dozens of some kind of Christmas treat. It was hard to taste every dish after filling myself up with the salad, but luckily we all get to take home a good portion of the treats. it took me 3 days to eat them all but i did it. ha! Then we had a Christmas eve dinner at Mom Molifua's house. She made prime rib and ham, it was oh so delicious. We had the neighbors over too, and Chanel just loved Mrs. Johnson. She cuddled with her almost the entire night. She was such a good girl, I think she got way too much meat to eat that night, that is why she was so mellow. After dessert we did our gift exchange and then went on our way. Here are pictures Tilera took. I'm not very good at taking pictures even though I take my camera with me every where we go!
Chanel in her cute Christmas outfit getting rubs from Mrs. Johnson all night. And me with my big belly.

Graduation

So it has been awhile since i've posted. December was definitely hectic. On the 12th of December Tahri graduated from BYU-Idaho. Yahoo!!!! We are all so proud of him, he has worked so hard these past few semesters to get his schooling done. He took 18 credits in the summer semester, signed up for 6 credits in the 6 week summer session and then finished off the Fall semester with 21 credits. Finally a break! He is soo anxious to get back to California and to start working again. He is also wanting to get into graduate school. So much ahead of us, I serisouly can't wait to see what the next phase of our lives will be like. Congratulations babe!!!!

Surprise Baby Shower

I have the best family in the world. They do so much for me. The Sunday before Thanksgiving, my aunties in Hawaii decided to throw a baby shower for me in Hawaii and surprised me with it. They worked it out with Tahri to set up a webcam so that we could see each other. I hated the surprise because I was not looking my best, and I hate being on camera when I looke like I just rolled out of bed. Anyways, my aunts gathered the family together at my Aunty Ronette's house, they decorated the place with baby stuff, cooked a feast, had party favors, and even played a couple of games. It was so wonderful to see everyone even if it was on a small screen. I wish I was closer to all of them during this time. They each opened the gift they brought for me and then my parents sent everything to me. I was sooo touched, and felt so loved by everyone. It was such a wonderful gesture and I can't express enough how grateful I am for them. Just the other day I received about 5 boxes from my mom with all of the stuff that everyone got me. I had so much fun opening the boxes and seeing everything first hand. This baby is definitely spoiled already!!!!
Thank you to my ohana in Hawaii. I love and miss you guys so much. Oh and congrats to my cousin Daniel on his new addition too, Baby Zaylee.........

Chanel Time

Just last weekend I decided that I wanted to take Chanel out. We have been so busy doing our own things, that I felt bad for leaving Chanel at home or at Grandma's everytime we went out do to something. And i hadn't been on a walk with her since forever since i'm really starting to move slowly now and everything hurts all the time. So I decided that after church on Sunday we would have a little family time with Chanel. We had never been to Mesa Falls but heard it was pretty and it is only a 45 min drive from our place, so we decided to go. I packed a small snack for us, and off we went. Chanel just loved running free through all the tress and just going exploring. I was so scared because she kept running off of the track and i was afraid that she was going to run down the rocks and fall. But Tahri insisted that I just let her roam free. Good thing there weren't very many people there that day. There are two different views, one from the lower part of the waterfall and one from the top of the waterfall.

Here is Chanel and I at the bottom of the waterfall. She is so cute, she is looking at me like, hello put me down I want to go run around. ha!

When we drove up to the top of the falls trail there were a lot more people there so we had to keep her on a leash and of course she hated it.

I took another picture with her at the top of the waterfall, then Tahri grabbed her and put her over the ledge, she was sooo scared he was going to throw her in the water, she hates the water. So as soon as he put her down, off she went. it was so hard to catch her after that. She kept her distance from us, and I was all nervous because there were a lot more people on the this trail, and she kept running off of the trail.

Tahri told me to stop worrying so I tried, here is a picture of just us at the falls. Right after this picture I went off to try to catch my puppy. Oh that girl, she just gets way too much freedom from Tahri. It was so fun being out with her and seeing a little more of Idaho.

Nursery

I am just way too excited for our little one to join us, I couldn't wait to get everything together. Tahri was really hoping that he wouldn't have to set things up more than once because he really wants move out of Idaho as soon as he graduates. Me, I want to stay here until baby is born and then figure out what we will do after. So I really wanted my nursery set up.

We got a few of our nursery items delivered to our house, and it sat in boxes for awhile, after a lot of nagging and wining Tahri finally set up the dresser for me. I wasn't too sure about the color cherry, it looked pretty dark in the pictures that I saw but Tahri kept telling me that cherry was red. So I kept begging him to put it together to see if I would like it. The other crib set that I ordered in espresso wasn't going to be delivered until January 20th, and that just would do for me, so I went with another set. Well he set up the dresser for me but then it sat in the living room for about 2 weeks.

Then on our anniversary, he cleared out a room and made it into our nursery. Oh he will be so mad when he has to pack it all up again when we move. hehe..............thanks babe for setting this up for us. :)

3 Year Anniversary

In August of 2005 Tahri asked me to marry him at home he was remodeling. I was remembering that day and how typical it was of me. Of course I was hungry and ready to go eat when I went to meet him there, and he was still working, so I was a bit irritated. You know me and food. :) He seemed nervous and really occupied with what he was doing. I was rushing him along of course and he was so nervous trying to gather his thoughts, poor guy. He asked me to pull something out of a dirty bucket full of water, and of course I didn't want to and I said No way i'm not sticking my hand in there. But of course I did and I pulled out a plastic bag that was filled with sand and on top of the sand was a box. I was so confused and so not in the mood, I wanted to go and eat. He came over to me on bended knee took the box, opened it and looked me in the eyes nervous as can be and asked me to marry him. Completely shocked I stared at the ring, and said yes. :) I forgot all about being hungry. :)
Here is a picture of the day we got engaged
3 months later my mom planned the most incredible wedding and I was sealed to the most amazing man in the San Diego Temple.

Tahri and I got to celebrate our 3 year anniversary on Tuesday Nov. 11th which is also Veterans day. I didn't realize we were married on that day, boy do we love our holidays! Well with Tahri having his birthday on Christmas, me on Valentines day, and our anniversary on Veterans day. :) Is there a holiday in January? I wonder if our baby will be born on one too. :)
We had a great night, we had dinner at Applebee's then when we got home Tahri gave me some gifts and then surprised me with my nursery. My mom got us our crib and dresser but we hadn't had the room to put it together, and Tahri spent all afternoon clearing out one of the bedrooms we were using for storage and set everything up. It was the best gift ever!

These past 3 years have just flown by. I'm so grateful to have this wonderful man in my life, and for all that he does for us. He is so patient with me and is just the best with Chanel I know he is going to be the best daddy ever! Happy Anniversary Love!

Random

The night after the reveal we flew out to California to visit my brother Josh and his wife Julie. Also to get away for a bit before I can't travel and not want to go anywhere without baby. We had a blast just relaxing, eating at all our favorite places and visiting with family. I took my camera with me but didn't take one single photo see i'm a loser. But here is a recent picture of my brother, his wife and my cousin Kenny. My mom went out there a week later and took this so it is recent.

Here is a recent pregnancy picture of me. I am about 23 weeks. One of my mom's coworkers gave birth about a year ago and she sent me a bunch of her pregnancy clothes, so nice of her. Maternity clothes are sooo expensive so i'm glad that I have things to wear now. :) Thank Aurene.........

The reveal

Okay so it has been awhile, there has been a few things that we have been doing, but i'm a loser and hardly ever take my camera with me. So here is an update on the past month and a half. About a month ago, Tahri and I got to go in for our 20 week ultrasound at which time we could find out what we were having. Well, I made him do something fun with me to reveal the gender. I'm sure others have done this too, but we had the doctor write the results on a piece of paper and put it in the envelope, we then went to target and picked out a girl outfit and a boy outfit, and we bought a gift bag and some tissue paper, so we take our items up to the counter and we tell the cashier, we just got back from the doctor's office and he wrote down on a piece of paper the gender of the baby we are having. We then asked her if she would be willing to open the envelope, look at what the results are, and purchase for us only the outfit that matches what the results are. So blue for boy, purple for girl. She said sure, so we turned around, and like 5 mins later, so tells us she can't tell what the results indicated, but to try another cashier. I said but the doctor typed out the results on the ultrasound you should be able to read it, she goes, I can't. So i'm about to give up and just look, but Tahri says lets just try another cashier, so we wait in line again, and a pregnant woman comes behind us, so i tell her what we are doing and ask her if she can read the results, and she says yup, i can see what you are having, so we ask the next cashier if she can do this thing for us, and the pregnant lady shows her the results and which outfit to purchase for us. Then they wrapped it in the bag so we couldn't see. Then we went to my mother in laws house for dessert and some appetizers and all the family showed up to see the big reveal. So then I open the bag and we all find out together that it is a BOY!!!! :) It was a lot of fun, and my family was sooo good to induldge me. :) Tahri set up a video camera so that my mom could watch online too. It was soo awesome that he thought to do that. And i was glad that my mom was able to be apart of it. She was soo excited to find out all day long, she didn't want to wait. :) So here are a few pictures from that night.

My mother in law is holding up the outfit Tahri and I picked out for the reveal.

My sister in laws Kira and Lanayia are pregnant too. Lanayia is due Oct. 2nd, then Me in the middle of January, then Kira the end of January.

Summer almost Over :(

I can't believe it, summer seems like it just got here, but it is starting to cool down now, school is back in session and well fall is right around the cornor, so it is almost over. boo! So we are trying to enjoy what days we have left. Tahri has been playing a lot of tennis lately, sadly I've been feeling sick again, so I haven't always been up to it, but this past weekend we got together with some of the family to bbq and go boating. It was a lot of fun and a pretty good day to go. We did some tubing and some skiing. I went skiing and that was probably a stupid move. Afterwards my back was sore and I was scared at all the wipeouts I did. I guess I didn't think that maybe a pregnant woman with hardly any skiing experience should be water skiing. ha! But it was a fun day and hopefully there are still a few more boating trips before the summer is over.

Tiger

Tuson
Me and Chanel. She wasn't a big fan of the water but she is a great swimmer, she was glued to me while we were on the boat, and when i went skiing she was crying for people to save me. she was sooo cute.

Tahri, Kira and Mek went for a dip while i Imari and I went skiing.

Imari, he had to make tubing more interesting.

For my mom.........

Okay this picture is for my mom. She is sooo awesome and I sooo wish she was closer to me at this time. She sent me a box full of goodies a couple of weeks ago. She is sooo excited for her first grandchild as we all are. She sent me like 6-7 different shirts that can fit over my growing belly and so many cute baby clothes. We don't even know what i'm having yet but I told her I felt like i was having a girl and she sent the cutest things!!!!! I'm about 16 weeks in this photo, my mom has been asking about my progression so i thought i would take a picture in one of the shirts she bought me. I'm starting to get a bump going on but i still just look fat and not pregnant. My face is getting fat and i don't think i'm going to be able to fit in this shirt for very much longer, because well the top is going to be too small in a few weeks if you know what i mean? ha! But thanks mom for all the goodies, miss you so much right now and can't wait for you to be with me soon. Hopefully soon i'll start to look pregnant and not just like i have a fat stomach. :)

Tennis Team!

Lanayia, Kira and I played in a women's 4.0 tennis league this spring. This was the 2nd year for kira and I and the 6th or 8th year for lanayia, but it was the first time for all us to make it to Boise. Our tennis team went 8-1 so we were crowned conference champions. With that we were able to go to Boise to play in the district tournament. Our team was awesome this year. But we didn't do so well in Boise. It was miserably hot, and a lot of us just couldn't play all that well in the heat, and i think we were all a little nervous. Lanayia didn't get to play because she is way to pregnant so we did miss one of our best players out there too. I think I was going to pass out in my match. I was sooo hot, plus i was a bit out of shape. ha! But next year or whenever we make it again, i think i can only do the morning matches.

I took my camera with me but I didn't take any pictures until the last day. loser huh? Most of the woman left after the last match but we decided to stay another night and just relax. So i only got a picture of the ones that stayed which were us three, Lori, and mom (who came to watch us play, sooo nice).

Tennis was a lot of fun!!!!

Last Luau

One of the last luau's we did this summer was for a company party. This party was HUGE. they probably had about 2,000 people there. It was held on the fair grounds in Blackfoot and they had so many different things to do for adults and children. They had a buffet that was open all day, a ice-cream booths all over the fair grounds of all different kinds. They had bouncing blow up things for the kids, cotton candy and shave ice stations, face painting, bingo and sooo much more. i didn't even get to half of the festivities. We performed twice in the lunch area. It was soo hot but it was a lot of fun. The kids had a blast!!! My photographer was too hot to venture out of the tent so there are only pictures of the performance.

Outdoor Activities

It seems like it took summer forever to get here. We had snow in June can you believe that? i guess most people in Idaho were not surprised by it at all. But I just couldn't wait to finally go outside without a jacket. I always look forward to summer because i love doing summer activities, but for some reason we haven't done too much of it lately. Everyone is travelling except us. BOO! ha! But I found some pictures of when we use to go out and do stuff. Tomorrow is a day off from work. Our campus celebrates Pioneer Day, so we will be closed. YES! i love days off! :) Hopefully tomorrow we can get out and do some of the fun stuff we use to do during the summer. Especially before I start to get too big. :) And especially since we live like 2 blocks from Rigby Lake.
This is Tahri on a little hike we did in Arizona. It was a nice hard hike.

The 4th

This year for the 4th we didn't do much. We moved into our new place on the 2nd, so we spent a lot of the 4th trying to get organized. It was pretty tough because I was sooo tired and not feeling very good. But that night we met up with the family at the River and watched the fireworks. It was a beautiful night and the fireworks were good. We ordered take out from applebees, and I would not recommend getting take out. The food was all soggy by the time we go to our little area, it just wasn't as good.

Tahri and I waiting for the fireworks to start. i remember thinking none of my pants fit me so i had to wear a dress. hahaha, i was having a fat pregnant day and i think i was only like 12 weeks here. ha!

Roy came to visit Z for graduation and stayed and hung out for awhile. Roy, Mek, Imari, and Kira trying to get into the pic.

Kira and Tuson.

Summer

Last summer our little family here started a Polynesian dancing group. It is a small group right now that only consist of our family members, but slowly we are having people from the community join in. We were really busy last summer performing for graduations, ward parties, weddings, reunions and other celebrations, and this summer we have another packed schedule. It has been a little hard on us girls because we are all pregnant right now and especially for me fitting into the costumes is getting tougher and tougher. ha! I shouldn't have tried to make them so tight in the beginning. :) But here are a couple of pictures from last summer, i'll post some of this summer when i download it. It is a little harder getting pictures now because almost everyone is dancing now and Tahri doesn't come as often to the shows. But i'll try to get some of this year.

The So'oto family came down to visit after Vic's game and helped out with the luau. Picture of Lanayia, Checka, Kira and lil Vic in the background.

January - June 2008

Okay update so far this year. I got a new job at the University. I work with online degree programs now. It has been wonderful so far. We are at the development stages of it so i'm in the trenches with getting things up and running. The best thing about the job is the students. I teach a one credit class that is mandatory for the program and I get to know all of the students that participate in the online degree. They are just sooo grateful for the chance to finish their degree. Many are stay at home moms that quit school to raise their babies and have moved for the husband's career. They just have great spirits and determination and it is so rewarding to be apart of this new venture. About 2 weeks after I started the job, my mom and my sister in law Julie all took a week off from work and went to New York for a girls weekend. It was a blast! It was non-stop activities each day. We would go sightseeing during the day, and then at night we would go and watch a Broadway show. We saw Jersey Boys, Wicked and Phantom. We went to Brooklyn, Jersey, and all over Manhattan. It was too much fun. Oh we even went to a Yankees Met's game. What an experience! The fans were sooo entertaining.

The most exciting news I have to share this year is that when I got home from New York I found out that I am pregnant! I'm still in shock by it and can hardly believe that it has finally happened. Tahri and I will be having our little addition in January. It seems so far away, but hopefully the time will go by fast. I've been miserable the last couple of weeks, but things are starting to get better. I think the best part of it is that my two sister in laws Lanayia and Kira are also expecting. Lanayia will have her baby in October, and then I'll have mine in January and we think Kira will have hers a couple weeks after me. So it is sooo fun being pregnant together. They are probably so sick of me because I panic about every little thing. :) But they never show it, they are sooo good to me.

2007

Okay so I'm horrible. I started this thing in January 2008 and only got through July 2006. Too much has happended from then until now, so i'll just do a quick update on the past year and a half. We moved to Idaho in August of 2006. I started working for BYU-Idaho as an International Advisor and Tahri was taking classes and working for his company in Arizona from home. It was a really good set up for us, with my benefits Tahri was getting his school paid for, and he was at home working and doing my to do lists. :) He also started building our home. I was still working on my thesis at San Diego State University, and in April of 2007 I graduated with my masters in Postsecondary Educational Leadership. Oh it was a big weight lifted off my shoulders. For graduation Tahri bought me the perfect gift. My baby girl Chanel. Oh i just love her! She is a long haired pug, full of attitude and never ending energy.

We moved into our new home that summer. Tahri built us a beautiful home.
We went to Hawaii for my cousin Jeneka's wedding and got to see so many family members that we hadn't seen in awhile. It was also Julie's birthday so we all went to a concert to see Fiji and the Whalers. It was a fun quick trip!

My parents came to visit us for the Christmas holidays and I hosted my first dinner party at the house. It turned out perfectly, mainly because my mom planned and cooked everything. :) I just showed her where everything was in the kitchen. ha! Don't you just love moms. I think those are the highlights of 2007.
